I had to leave work last night (graveyard shift) because I could barely stand up. I went to the ER with extreme fatigue, light dizziness, mental fog, and a headache. They sent me home and told me to drink water. 🙃

They ran an EKG (I have sinus tachycardia) and took my orthostatic vitals. No urine sample or blood sample. EKG was normal, orthostatics were a little off. When I got home and peed, my urine was clear

My iron levels have previously been tested and they’re normal. Is that same thing?

no, you can have normal iron levels and still have iron deficiency and the symptoms. iron deficiency is determined by your ferritin level, ideally it’s 125. your ferritin is like your iron stores. it’ll make sure you have enough iron in your blood day to day but your stores might be running out which eventually leads to full flown iron deficiency anemia

i would def get it checked if you can. if you find you’re deficient follow this guide bc the iron supplements drs prescribe can actually make your deficiency worse. the guide explains everything. i hope you feel better soon and get some answers

second this. i have had low ferritin. it’s the protein that moves iron in the blood. my iron has always been normal tho. also check b12. and ileum issues in the intestines can cause all of these to be low!
