wait, how is it rude (serious)? that’s a typical amount of meds for chronic illnesses, but to be on that many only psych meds would be different. typically, with multiple mental illnesses, psychiatrists want to have as little meds as possible for less likely negative interactions between meds, so they try to put you on meds that are for multiple conditions (like one med could help multiple). so this would in fact be a lot and an atypical amount of JUST psych meds

i meant that genuinely. that’s been my experience and my studies so far, so i was just trying to explain why I didn’t understand the first comment being rude

literally dude, also I’m on 10 meds a day, 5 of which are psych meds. a lot of meds is a lot of meds, facts are not rude LOL. can’t believe I got so many downvotes for saying that💀

To say “DAMN that’s a lot of meds!”. It’s rude. You can state “that’s a lot of meds” but I think OP knows that

key Word here is PSYCH meds. it would be a lot if it was all psych meds. that’s a normal amount of physical meds lol

Still. You said damn that’s a lot of meds. It’s rude even if you thought it was others.

Well they said that about IF it were psych meds and they specifically stated that. This WOULD be a lot of psych meds, it’s not an atypical amount for this context, it just is for psych meds, like they stated

let me explain it this way, in chronic illness, there can be multiple deficiencies that all need to be addressed w different meds, in psychiatry, there is a lot of overlap in chemical imbalances, meaning less meds are needed to address multiple issues. keep in mind you’re trying to police someone who is prob on more psych meds than OP
