Oh fuck is so right that shit sucked. They had to hold me down because my obvious natural reaction was to cough the scope out and so I was fully panicking and the most amazing nurse in the world held my head still and rubbed my hair and spoke directly into my ear and she was kept saying you’re okay focus on my voice you’re almost done and all that jazz she was amazing

They put me under a twilight sedation originally and all the nurses I was talking with said they’re all against it especially for people under 35 (I’m 21) because we metabolize too fast and way too many people have the same experience but of course the drs don’t listen to them. They put me fully under for the colonoscopy so at least there’s that
