Hell yeah! I’m proud of you! There is absolutely no reason to be ashamed of taking longer than the expectation especially when you’re chronically ill and had surgery! I’m currently two years behind in undergrad. I was supposed to graduate spring 2025 and I’ll (hopefully) be graduating spring 2027. We all have our own timelines and that’s okay!
college isn't a race!! be proud of yourself for finishing at all! it's incredibly hard to manage school on top of chronic illness. i was supposed to graduate with my bach in 2024, but i ended up almost dying, needing a few surgeries etc. but i'm finally back and hoping i can graduate spring 27!
I’m 26. I graduated high school in 2018 and I’m still in undergrad (was actively trying to get my degree for like 75% of the time since then, I had to drop out a few times). Had to add another year on recently after a car accident. There is no such thing as ‘too long’ or ‘too late’, what matters is that you did it! 💙
