happy my GI actually lets patients have bodily autonomy and she agreed to let me have a colonoscopy. bc i am concerned about my elevated risk. so in early may i will have it done. i do have internal hemorrhoids but my elevated risk is from Ashkenazi genes

i’m having my first colonoscopy at the end of this month and while i’m excited to have the results, the idea of having a camera put into my unconscious body via my butthole is definitely unsettling

I’ve had four (I’m 23) and the prep SUCKS but best sleep you’ll have during, and after it’s very satisfying getting to eat whatever again

i've had two (& im only 20) but i gotta say the prep is definitely the worst part, the procedure itself is the best part cuz you get to be on propofol

i have chronic diarrhea and abdominal pain (that’s why i’m getting the colonoscopy) so i hope the prep is not too far off from my normal 😭 anesthesia does feel nice, it’s like a really good nap
