I’m tired of people saying “that’s normal” to things that aren’t. Like when I was 8 I told a teacher that my vision blacks out and I get super dizzy everytime I stand up. She said everyone does that I’m 20 now and diagnosed with anemia and working on more

Yah I’ve encountered that too with the same issue. Sure, it’s normal for that to happen OCCASIONALLY for a few seconds when you stand up VERY FAST. It is not normal for it to be a frequent occurrence or for it to last more than a few seconds. I was diagnosed with anemia and pots. Hopefully things get better for you.

My mom will literally say anything is “normal” bc she thinks I’m a hypochondriac and not diagnosed with multiple chronic conditions. I’ll be like “is it normal to get period pain all the way up to your chest” and she’s like “yes, probably”. Like NO IT ISNT

Yeah at this point I’ve learned to just stand up and stand still if I don’t know the path I’m taking, otherwise I just go blind and brace on the wall and after I’m completely still for a few seconds I can usually at least regain my vision and after a few minutes the dizzy will return to normal levels

Also I have the dizzy vision black thing too, plus I get an intense 5 sec headache. Mines from orthostatic hypotension tho
