Do any of you hypermobility EDS baddies have any recommendations for shoes that are wide-feet friendly? My feet don’t like my boots anymore. Boots are really good shoes for biking, but I feel like I need something that’s more comfortable.

i got the Dr Scholl’s Time Off sneakers over a year ago and i love them so much. they have a wide option, they are SUPER comfortable, and i can wear them in a lot of situations. my only complaint is that i like more ankle support (but this isn’t really the shoe for that anyways)

I went to a local shoe store and had them do some measurements and watch me walk to find the best shoes for my feet. If you live near a city I bet there is a fleet feet or something similar that could do it for you.

i also got elastic laces so i can slip them on and off without having to bend and tie them (which i highly recommend to anyone ever because it’s so nice)

Do you have any local shoe stores?

I tend to avoid those because they are insanely expensive so I just get my shoes online.

my osteopathic manipulation doc actually just recommended that i do this! he said that i can go get measured and then get my results and use them to get insoles that are the best for my results (he swears by SuperFeet insoles from amazon)

I might have to try those. I have custom orthotics right now from molds they made of my feet but now that I’m on my own insurance and moved away from that doc I’ll have to find something else when I run out of my supply
