IVE BEEN A CNA FOR 4 YEARS, HAVE A BSW, AND AM WORKING ON MY MSW
It’s so hard to find jobs that I can do with my disability and the ones I’m overqualified always turn me down

Would you ever consider being an access specialist for students with disabilities? Because I may know of a position where you would be really qualified that’s coming open soon and could put in a word

I’m having the same issue. Talked around and found out they avoid people who appear too good/overqualified bc they know we will only be there temporarily while we try to work our way up to better jobs. They want bare minimum people who are desperate enough to stay forever

Really? I’m desperate enough to stay forever lol how do I prove that other than the fact that I’m disabled (so I can’t do a lot of things) and I’ve stayed at my job for 4 years that I get paid $13hr and work 12s overnight

I dunno man. I’ve tried conveying my desperation as well and I’ve only gotten 2 interviews and 0 call backs

It’s an office job and not nursing so maybe not what you’re looking for but thought I’d ask

No, unless you need that as an accommodation. It is an extremely accommodating office
