got a waist trainer for my POTS after my dr suggested it and it’s genuinely worked better for my circulation than any meds I’ve been on?? But now it’s too hot to wear it and I’m miserable and have no energy ugh

I have a cute super insulated lunchbox that I keep cold stuff like this in. There's single use cooling gel stickers that fit on the neck or forehead online that are pretty cheap and I use them for migraines too.

unless you’re in a super humid place :( then you gotta get a damp cooling towel and continually apply cool water to it

i used to run a summer camp in georgia for years. tbh, i still haven’t cracked the code. Frogg Togg cooling towels, portable fans, and something cool on the back of your neck/knees/in armpits (do NOT use something super cold. it’s so easy to shock your system doing this). make sure they you have plenty of sodium and potassium. if you’re peeing a lot and it’s clear, you are low on electrolytes and not hydrated enough for the heat. i made that mistake too many times lol

i almost forgot! sugar helps a lot of people with POTS! next time you’re struggling, try a sugary drink or snack to see if it works for you. some people also say a little caffeine helps them bc it raises their blood pressure. def just try that one a little at a time tho. a dr.pepper always makes me feel better, one way or another, but two makes me feel worse in the heat. BTW what brand is your waist trainer? been looking into them lately <3 sorry for yapping i am deliriously sleep deprived
