And if you think about it, it would’ve been even worse if NC State hadn’t fired Kevin Keatts. Now they have a good shot at winning it all.

Hell, I’d go so far as to say NC State is the most successful team in the field. Multiple natties (everybody else has 0), most recent final four, most recent conference title, second most all-time wins, most conference titles by a long shot (18, next most is 6), there’s probably more stats, but I’ve been looking these up for a while so I’ll stop.

That would still be true if Keatts was still the coach though, so really just a very underwhelming field compared to previous years where you often had multiple final four contenders
