Michigan, Kentucky, and BYU should be better than Auburn this year too

Sweet sixteen, final four and elite 8 appearances back to back, producing NBA talent and attracting high level recruits because of oatsโ€™ system

Auburn hadnโ€™t advanced out of the first weekend since 2019 before this past season, and they arenโ€™t producing NBA talent or attracting high level recruits, how could you call that a top program?

Youโ€™re an idiot. Auburn has one less NBA player currently than Alabama and is recruiting at a much better level. They also are fresh off a final four where they were ranked number one nearly all season long

Yeah and they couldnโ€™t make it out of the first weekend the last 4 seasons, while bama did. One good season (which bama mimicked the year before btw) doesnโ€™t negate the lack of results. Auburn hasnโ€™t had a first round pick since 2022. Auburnโ€™s not recruiting nearly as well as any of the other schools I listed

Bama did not mimic shit before the year before Auburn did what they did. Auburn won the sec, bama got the easiest run to the final four of all time

Same end result, loss in the final four. Donโ€™t really care if you win your conference. And again, less nba players, poorer recruiting, and spottier post season history. Not to mention the absolute embarrassment that was the Yale loss

Bama won the SEC regular season and the tournament in 2023, and also made it to the sweet 16. So the same accomplishments over the last few years with better consistency in March. You canโ€™t even argue Auburn being better

No, not the same accomplishments over the last few years. Also, Auburn has a huge advantage over the last few years in head to head

Both have a final four, an SEC regular season title, and an SEC tournament title in the last 3 years. How does Auburn have a huge advantage over the last few years when they havenโ€™t advanced out of the first weekend two out of the last three seasons when bama has? And bama has matched auburnโ€™s result (final four) in that time period as well? You have no case here and Iโ€™m not a bama fan, theyโ€™ve just objectively been the better program recently

Iโ€™d also throw Purdue in there too thinking about it now for similar reasons
