I feel like it’s been unfair to compare finals viewership to March madness because one is a 7 game series and the other is a one off so it’s more enticing, but the fact that CBB still outperformed the nba in a winner take all game is shocking to me. NBA teams run good offense and play defense in the playoffs, it’s just that guys are at such a high level it’s hard to stop them from scoring. Hurley and Oats who get credit for their systems run a lot of NBA stuff

The best appeal of college imo is that even the best offensive minds can be stopped if the defense has a strong system and culture. Nba isnt about culture, its about celebrity superstars. There are no houstons and baylors (at least old baylor) in the nba

It’s just a lot easier to stop a college team that usually only has a couple high level scorers out there at once. It’s rare to find a college team where everyone is a threat to go off and everyone can create their own offense, meanwhile thats expected in the NBA. I think NBA teams have some culture, but I think we will see college cultures begin to fade with it becoming like a free agency. How do you build culture with one year players

College is unfortunately becoming pro lite and will lose its appeal if something doesnt change
