My team would probably be top 10 too if they didn’t play a team with a pulse until week 5.
Best teams *with no preseason priors*. Y’all keep telling me Penn State is overrated but the data says no

You’re telling me it’s opponent adjusted and there is no MIAMI with 2 ranked wins. No GEORGIA, A&M, or LSU all with ranked road wins against playoff teams. This computer is dumb af and I can’t even figure out what metrics it’s using cause the order makes zero sense.

Because we dont know that notre dame and usf are any good. This is based on 2025 data only. We dont know how good anyone is

Notre dame is 0-2 so the computer doesnt view them as a “top 25 team”

“We don’t know Notre dame is good” Ok then would this computer have Penn states best opponent, FIU favored in a neutral site game against ND? You have to take last year into account, just box score watching and not paying attention to rosters or coaches is lazy work. Stop pushing this garbage it only incentives the idea that teams should start scheduling like Penn st and Indiana so they get 6-7 free wins a year.

If you wanna see the full list including past data, go to espn and see that penn state is #1

The national champion has finished #1 in sp+ every year this decade

No shit. It’s calculated after the game. And also what poll wouldn’t have the national champion as number 1. It concerns me you only said last decade.

Its a predictive metric and most of these #1s were there most of the year

Notice how duke is #1 at kenpom. These metrics arent always right but sp+ usually is

If you believe Texas Tech football is the best team in the country you should be admitted to a mental hospital.

1- Miami beat 2 quality teams already which not a lot of teams can say. 2- even tho Clemson’s not as good as we thought it’s still a quality road win, and Florida is a power 4 win. Penn st has played dog 💩 so far, I’m gonna rank the teams that have actually played talented rosters higher, don’t think that should be contentious

You just talking about resume. With these opponent adjusted metrics we dont need resume anymore. We can learn things from awful cupcake games

Miami would be a 7 point underdog to oregon neutral field

Lmao what. I’m max betting Miami +7 and Miami ML. And WTF are you learning from playing Villanova. They’re are legit high school teams that could beat that squad, and most coaches don’t even game plan and just run basic ass plays. You obviously don’t know ball, we don’t know anything about Penn st cause they haven’t played a team that can match up with any elite teams. You probably think UCF are 2017 champions.

I dont think the g5 should be in the same league as the p4

Then why are you valuing Penn states wins over g5 opponents more than other teams wins over power 4 opponents

Im not valuing anything. Im saying penn state is overhated because they are #1 including preseason priors and #3 without them. Top 3 team like it or not
