Neither Chambliss nor Sorsby should playing this season. The fact that schools are weaponizing the legal system to benefit their football programs is not something I ever thought I would have on my bingo card.

Let’s be real here, their situations are NOT equivalent at all. Chambliss’ at least sort of had a case because the eligibility rules are not consistent at all levels of the sport (should be fixed) and thus he was negatively affected without his knowledge/consent. Sorsby just did crime and doesn’t want to pay the time

Chambliss is a super senior grown man who literally had the opportunity to go to the NFL and instead used a corrupt Ole Miss judge to get an extra year in college

The main difference between Chambliss and the other guys with high profile eligibility cases (Sorsby, Pavia, Aguilar, etc) is his case is actually based in real standing with an actual fault with the NCAA. There’s no reason that eligibility requirements should be different between D2 & D1. The sus part for him is if he was aware his eligibility was being burned which was the NCAA’s case, but that can’t be proven
