Mizzou is fucking terrible. Was on the 2nd string QB and had a lot of opt outs. And it took Virginia, at full strength, a 4th down stop on a 3rd string QB coming in ice cold, to win the football game

They definitely got dealt a bad hand with injuries. Hardy is a stud and I thought Pribula really proved himself after he transferred out of PSU. Drink is the real deal. Definitely thought he’d get poached in the coaching cycle. They have a bright future

I definitely think that there would’ve been a different outcome had injuries not been in play. I just don’t think that UVA won “on a miracle”. They have a good team and a great staff

They won 3 of their games in OT, two of them against sub .500 teams. Got two defensive touchdowns against Louisville to get their only “decent” win (who other teams easily handled down the stretch) - also OT Lost to an ACC opponent but it happened to not be a conference game conveniently. Got paired against an opt-out depleted Mizzou squad in their bowl game after losing their only meaningful game of the year to a 7-5 Duke game

Their entire fucking season was a miracle. You flip those games just the slightest, they have losses against sub 500 teams and barely make a bowl. Congratulations on a good season, and still did nothing meaningful in the post season

Look at the Chiefs. 2024 they go like 15-1 in one score games, make the Super Bowl, and get blown out. In 2025, reality hits them and they’re sitting at 6-9 and going to Cancun. I see a similar path with UVA, with so much roster turnover and dependence on the portal, barely making a bowl next year, if at all. Although maybe their 40 year old QB who needs to get a real job will lead them to the Pinstripe Bowl
