Alabama lost to number 7 FSU. Ranked wins and losses are counted at current rankings not past ones. Example: The number one team in the country at the beginning of the season could then go and finish unranked after losing some games. The teams that beat this team should not have ranked wins counted, because the team is not ranked.

Also a factor is where the game is played. Alabama lost on the road while Tennessee lost at home bo matter the quality of team that counts against you more losing at home vs on the road

They’re 3rd because they’re undefeated and were ranked highly at the beginning of the season so the voters are just gonna leave them. I’d probably have them at 6 myself

Alabama got bitched by a then unranked and even if now #7 team. Tennesee lost by a fluke missed field goal, to the # (depending on rankings top 4-6 team). I don’t get it

They also didn’t miss because of the a field goal. They lost because they couldn’t score in OT. Thats more of a determining factor than the field goal. Also don’t false start lol

EVEN IF THEY ARE RANKED NOW RHEY ARE STILL A LOWER RANK THAN GEORGIA AND BEAT ALABAMA BY 2 TOUCHDOWNS IN A GAME THAT WAS NEVER CLOSE. TENNESSEE HAD EVERY CHANCE TO WIN THAT GAME AND IT REALLY JUST CAME DOWN TO WHO WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO SCORE THE LAST POINTS. Go back to the weird W2 to W3 jump by UT and come back. My whole argument is that it didn’t matter that FSU was unranked. AP poll results rn are pretty stupid to look at there’s really not enough of a resume yet

No, the field goal was just one mistake. They had chance upon chance in OT. They literally lost because they did not play well in OT, not because of the field goal
