“On paper” is starting to become a trigger why even play the games then

I’ve learned over the years that no one copes harder than OSU fans. So much bark for so little bite.

I mean it’s true, but the only one that matters is the last one

Miami has multiple players that are gonna go in the first round of the draft as well, there’s less of a talent disparity than people think.

The better team doesn’t give up 150 yards rushing

I mean he’s right, bye week seems to be a curse more so than it is an advantage

I mean yeah obviously but still both OSU and Texas Tech right now look super sluggish coming off the bye, think the playoffs need to be moved up or get rid of bye’s entirely by going to 16 or 8 team playoff

The take is highly debatable when comparing two teams that played 0 common opponents all year.

OSU benefited from it last year against Oregon 🤷 what goes around comes around

How? Ohio state has the better players and didn't lose to nobody's in their conference

Okay that’s great but it’s also not what I’m talking about at all, it’s becoming obvious that the long break is a disadvantage

Uh they lost to Indiana. They played three solid teams and went 1-2 against those teams

So Indiana is a nobody in the big ten?

The whole “better on paper” argument usually neglects to consider when teams have a high ceiling and low floor like Miami. If Cristobal and Beck don’t shit the bed, Miami plays like a top 5 team, but the regular season is long enough that they inevitably do shit the bed at least once

It’s becoming obvious college kids aren’t professional athletes yet so the bye week affects them unlike the pros boohoo
