Because attention is zero sum. Every moment you occupy yourselves and the attention of others with zingers is a moment you could have been solving problems.

Just redirect the effort you used on your zinger to promoting mandatory vacation days. But you won’t. You’re not interested in solutions. You’re interested zingers.

Yes, I know, solving problems is too hard and zingers are so easy. Tell you what, I’ll help you out. Next blue collar worker I see who hasn’t had a day off in the last six months, I’ll tell him you go 9 upvotes in a zinger about Charlie Kirk. Sound good?
