they’ve been to 2 games with non-sec teams. College Gameday used to be a showcase for ALL teams around the country, regularly going to non-power and fcs matchups. They’ve recently pivoted heavily into what game they think will have the highest viewers that week, and avoid b10 games as much as possible because they only allow 1-3 non espn games

this is to say though, vandy is not a bad pick. They should’ve gone there last week though

Obviously they avoid B1G games because they’re boring, there’s a reason SEC games get more viewers, hence why College Gameday covers them more. You just had the answer to your problem in your own complaint. SEC is far more competitive than B1G at the moment, and that literally is not debatable.

That isn’t even remotely close to what I said. ESPN avoids Big 10 games whenever possible because they don’t own the broadcast rights. If they did, they would be at a hell of a lot of them every year. Corporate only allows them to promote so many non-espn/abc games, and the only power conferences they don’t have is the Big 10. The only reason that they go to any is because of precedent, and to avoid having to cover what they view as “less-worthy” matchups and thus protect College Gameday’s brand
