I found a schedule simulator and it is entirely within the realm of possibility this year that Baylor, Texas Tech, and Iowa State are all 12-0 with KU being 10-2 going into championship weekend. 4 bid Big XII is attainable, millions will rejoice

You know they’d leave out a 12-0 big 12 team for a 7-5 SEC team right? Or a 8-4 Big10. Or a 10-2 Notre dame

“We play a harder schedule” aka we got our ass kicked by Georgia therefore we are better

I know you’re kidding but I love it whenever people say that the committee doesn’t understand strength of schedule. The only reason that Alabama and Tennessee were in the top 12 last year was because of the competition they beat (i.e, SOS). if they went 9-3 anywhere else then they wouldn’t be sniffing the playoffs, yet some people still think that’s not already enough benefit of the doubt for them

Lmao idk why I said Tennessee they were 10-2. Point still stands for them tho bc BYU was also 10-2 with a win over SMU, but they then lost to KU

If florida goes 7-5 again they might be better than if the b12 team with the worst schedule went 12-0 with chiefs type scores

Florida maybe cause they have a good qb and isn’t their schedule literally the hardest in college this year. I’m with OP the sec is better but not so much better than you should throw wins out the door

Big if Baylor could go 12-0 with a win over an Auburn team that could either finish 4-8 or 8-4 KU could go 10-2 with a win over a Mizzou team that could be sneaking into a trip to Atlanta due to their SOS If Florida goes 7-5, sure I will relent that those 5 losses could be to good teams, but what if they pull a bama and lose inexplicably to Kentucky or Miss State?
