He didn’t say that’s what the border war was, just that our name did come from a milita formed to defend Columbia against Guerrilla Confederate groups raiding it, which is true. And those groups came from Kansas. Tf are you on about. He’s just saying there’s a lot of history that goes into the rivalry

Hey dickhead, the Quantrill raiders were who Columbia was defending against. A group that primarily was active in Kansas especially Kansas City but also would attempt raids on Columbia. Raids that where deflected by the tigers

Which by the way, that same group attacking Laurence Kansas and the “jayhawkers” fighting back against them is the same way KU got its name. One thing the 2 universities can find common grounds on.
