It’s literally taking views away from the SEC. If they played a 9th game they would lose probably see an increase in media deals because it’s literally games that no one will watch unless they are a fan of a team or a brain dead SEC homer. It’s also not whining they get a 4th easier game so they don’t have as many opportunities to lose to someone within the conference. It’s a way of getting more teams ranked and into the playoffs.
