I get their crackdown on old guys in the NCAA but this isn’t the way to set a precedent. You don’t get to let teams get away with cheating but strip titles away the second a player who can legally rent a car is on the team.

It’s likely they won’t but the NCAA is trying to punish Indiana (as well as Memphis and one other school) cause they had a player who was granted an injunction to play one more season, then dropped the lawsuit after said season concluded (basically they’re arguing they were technically never eligible). They’re trying to use this to scare older guys to not sue for an extra year

Basically the idea is “if we don’t win in court, we’ll scare teams into not letting you play. If we’re willing to go as far as stripping a team of their title over this, don’t think we’ll show mercy for any other team that allows this.”
