ND simply wasn’t one of the 12 best teams, even with the rule. Ohio State, Indiana, Oregon, Michigan, Oklahoma, Bama, Georgia, Texas, Texas AM, Ole Miss, Miami, Texas Tech would probably all beat Notre dame. 2 of them actually did.

Ask any FSU fans now if they should have opted out, 99.9% will say yes. And yes Notre Dame should have been in over Alabama.

I don’t even think Alabama is a very good team, but them as well as Miami deserved to be in over you, Bama played a tougher schedule than you and had better wins, and I’ll never feel bad for a team who isn’t in a conference sitting at home all conference title weekend while not having the balls to play a conference schedule

It’s not about that, it’s about the process. If no rankings came out all year and nd was the first team out it wouldn’t be happening. It’s the fact that two weeks ago bama jumped Notre dame for no legitimate reason, and last week Miami jumped Notre dame after the committee ranked them ahead every single week before. I’m not mad about the result, I’m mad the process makes zero sense.
