You haven’t talked to them as much as I have then. Not their whole fanbase hates us that much but a lot of the ones that pay a good amount of attention to basketball very much do. Again it ain’t pretentious to point that out, especially when it happened over a trip to the natty (which is kind of a big deal and why a good amount of Auburn fans were that upset)

Also just cause it’s the CFB thread doesn’t mean I can’t point out why another fanbase hates us lmao, nor is it self centered to point it out (in fact it’s odd to brag about other schools hating you, I just pointed it out since a lot of Tech fans assume only UVA fans hate them and not WV, JMU, Liberty, etc, cause that’s also a sentiment I’ve seen a lot among their fans)

Dude they also hate us cause they think they won it legitimately and that we were bailed (even tho Jerome’s jersey was tugged before the dd, point that out and they try to make excuses for it). Everything else you said doesn’t change what Ive been saying the entire time abt Auburn fans resenting us over that game (to where they still bring it up 7 years later). Football is more popular in the south, that’s why you havent noticed the resentment as much as we (primarily a basketball school) have.

VT's own Board of Visitors has said Tech lags national peer institutions in the level of aid it is able to provide for low and middle income students.
