Why do LSU fans insist upon keeping former NFL players on their roster?

Because Trinidad Chambliss had a legitimate complaint. He lost eligibility because of Ferris State not properly filing a medical redshirt for him. He should’ve had it, they had all of the paperwork for it. Add his other redshirt and there is his 6th. It’s an issue when an LSU player officially gives up his eligibility (which is what happens when you go to the NFL)
