Ppl complain saying they want the 4 team CFP back like the 12 team playoff didn’t prove that the 4 team playoff was flawed since the two best teams were out of the top 4, realistically it should be an 8 or 10 team playoff

I think this past year proved that 12 is an okay amount

8 was fine, the first round is proof that any more than 8 is unnecessary. Replacing boise with ole miss but keeping everyone else wouldve gotten is the true top 8 i feel

The thing is with the 12 team playoff and NIL the way it is we might see 12 teams that could all atleast get lucky and make the run and make it there. We should have went to 8 then 12 after we see the talent distribution like we will probably see where we’d have 4 teams that could truly win it, 4-6 teams that if things happen correctly will, and 2-4 teams that will put up a fight to atleast make the next round. Those kind of scrappy teams that could but are a good addition

12 proved that 4 was perfect. 12 turns it into the MLB where nothing matters until the playoffs, which we knew would happen the entire time. Ohio State loses its two biggest games and Oregon goes undefeated? Nobody cares, fuck the regular season.

boise deserved that spot 🤷🏽‍♂️ but i will agree that there should be no auto G5 teams because G5 teams are more than capable to be a top 8-10 team and make it without an auto bid

I dont think boise was true top 8 in the same way that asu was. Asu was so hot to end the year and boise almost lost to wyoming. Worst struggle win of the whole season

but also only lost by 3 to the #1 seed 🤷🏽‍♂️ ole miss lost to 2 unranked teams while boise st was able to beat every unranked team, bad losses carry more weight than good wins

Ole miss beat georgia by 18. And oregon had OL issues to start the year. Florida probably goes 11-1 with boise schedule btw, that “7-5” was the best 7-5 in human history considering schedule and injuries

I disagree. America rallies around big games, so good wins > bad losses

Remember back in BCS, you could beat 5 ranked teams and lose to a 5-7 team and you’re not in the natty, it was like that in the 4 team CFP too, now that there is multiple teams with multiple losses you people think it’s fair to put in teams with good wins, with that logic you’re putting in a 8-4 team with 8 ranked wins and 4 unranked losses in the CFP over a 12-0 team with 0 ranked wins, if you wanna make the playoffs and you’re winning big games, don’t lose the games you’re heavily favored in.

12-0 with 0 ranked wins isnt really an accomplishment though. Every team in the playoff should have the upside to potentially win it all imo. Boise state is a waste of a spot when you have a potential winner like ole miss. 2010 boise wouldve deserved it. Not last years team

How are you going to punish a team for their opponents being ass, that is the problem with CFB fans, this isn’t a popularity vote, EARN YOUR SPOT, ole miss also was not winning anything, they were inconsistent which is why they lost to multiple garbage teams and jaxson dart could not perform against good defenses, 70% of his TD came against 4 bad unranked defenses.

Florida garbage lmao. It isnt reward vs punishment. Similar to some people are born rich and others are born poor. Teams are not in control of their destiny. Its simply we want the best teams, because this is the entertainment industry If it was up to me, we would stop pretending 130 teams are playing the same sport. G5 deserves their own championship

If we combined the minor leagues with the MLB, everyone would revolt against minor team inclusion in the big dance

Osu won its biggest game against psu. Winner of that game was gonna win it all

Not better than 8 or 14. You either gotta include every team that can win (bama and miss) or exclude every team that cant (every team that lost on the road)

I’ll hold your hand when I say Bama and Ole Miss were undeserving of making it. SMU looked to be a better team and they were still undeserving

Funny because you dont play unranked teams in the playoff. You play ranked teams who bama and miss did well against

If they beat osu then a 3 loss osu wouldve missed and psu would be on the other side of the bracket from nd so they wouldnt draw them until the end (they probably win in that case)

Just like they won the other 19 top 5 matchups in a row they’ve lost? Their coach fucking sucks bro

2024 was the worst year in cfb since 2007 and penn state was better than every team not named osu. As someone with a perfect bracket, if penn state and notre dame rematched the next day, i wouldve picked penn state. I was lucky to correctly predict a winner that was physically dominated in the first half and lucky to be down just 10-0

Every one of your posts is just “they would they would have won because I think they would have won.” You go there don’t you? No one else would be defending the pedos this hard or this badly.

insane way of coping, ND was the better team, penn st has a much bigger chance in 2025 then they did last season
