There’s no rivalry between Michigan or Oklahoma tho. They’re just 2 historically good teams. Meanwhile, The Border War is one of the oldest and most iconic rivalries in college sports, and it’s finally being renewed in football for the first time in like 15 years. Also, Missouri/Kansas was the first ever homecoming game. There’s a lot of history and hatred with that rivalry
No it doesn’t. It literally does not for any reason other than the AP Poll. This game carries very minor playoff implications, and the only reason it has any because that implies both of these teams will actually still be good by the time the AP poll is irrelevant which they won’t. It only matters because of brand value and that ESPN can promote a Michigan game that’s on their network
Lmao not even close. It’s not close the the game. It’s not close to army navy. It’s not close to the red River rivalry. It’s not close to the iron bowl. It’s not close to ND USC. Not better than Georgia Florida. Not better than Miami FSU. Not better than Minnesota Wisconsin. Not better than Michigan ND. Not better than Nebraska Oklahoma. Not better than Bama LSU. Not better than Ohio state Penn st. Not better than Pitt WVU. Not better than USC UCLA. Not better than the egg bowl. I can keep going
Literally all those games are built on hate? You’re using a hypothetical measure, all the games I listed have hatred and a better history/ more relevance to the cfb world. True is Kansas Missouri is a mid football rivalry and that’s ok. Hell, it’s not better than Iowa, Iowa st and that’s happening this week too.
