Clemson only made playoffs cause they won the ACC championship, one of the worst divisions in the FCS, and Penn State was given a playoff schedule against two teams who didn’t belong.

Well they recruited well and returned a lot of the main talent meanwhile Tennessee lost an important qb, rb, and wr. It’s not the final 2024 rankings it’s predictive of the NEXT SEASON. It’s probably not close to accurate but given that it’s speculative what else do you want?

That’s why I said I wasn’t going to argue Tennessee. But Penn State consistently loses when it counts, and Clemson hasn’t done anything in close to a decade

Ok I’ll give you that but last year Drew Allar had literally not a soul other than Tyler Warren to throw to, now he has several thanks to the portal and this years recruiting class. If Clemson wasn’t running the worst defensive scheme I’ve seen in forever last year they probably beat SCar, Louisville, and maybe take Texas to OT. Now they have a new coordinator. You can disagree with the specific rankings but the idea that PSU and Clemson will be good or great next year is not radical at all.
