I’d have to disagree here. LSU is 2nd in national championships since 2003. Only team with more is bama. On top of that LSU has played in 4 national championships. Only 4 teams total can say that since that time frame maybe 5. Now do that have bad seasons yes but to say they aren’t a top 20 team is just ignorant.

I see what your saying on how you have to respect them and their resume but I mean there is way too much hype and the expectations are too high. I mean don’t get me wrong lane kiffin is a great coach who made ole Miss who they are today but I don’t see this season being fireworks for lsu

Well let’s strictly talk LSU defense. Did you know if LSU scored 26 points in every game they would have been 11-1 last year. The defense this year retained their defense staff and got better. Let’s just say the defense just stayed the same. Do you think lane kiffin will score more than 26 points every game this season?

If your answer is yes which btw the fewest he’s scored since he’s been a head coach at Fau has been more than 30 points a game.

Now if you said Texas, Texas a&m, Oregon, Penn state, or Michigan I’d agree with you. Always a top 15 team always supposed to be really really good but have zero to show for with the exception of michigans 1 championship in forever

26 points a game isn’t some impossible number for a Lane Kiffin offense. My point isn’t that LSU won’t be good—it’s that people are acting like they’re a guaranteed playoff team before they’ve proven it on the field. I’ll believe the hype when I see it

Ok guarantee I can agree there. That schedule is brutal. @Ole miss, Texas a&m, Clemson, bama, Texas, and @Tennessee is a rough schedule. I think they go 10-2 this year. I think Kiffin has them scoring 33+ a game and that defense is gross and will be leaned on early in the season. I see them losing to Texas and then @Tennessee

Would it be crazy to say they lose to ole Miss? Ik they don’t have Charlie Wies but they only got better in the transfer portal and I truly believe with everything in me that lsu doesn’t want it near as bad as they do and there is no way they walk in that stadium and stop lacy and Trinidad

Could they absolutely. Why I don’t see it happening though is ole miss is horrible in the run, they lost their OC, lost their coach, and most of their receivers. You also can not lose the best coach you ever had and not take a step back example look at bama.

Bama loses 4 games in a row. Georgia, @tennessee, Texas a&m, and @LSU That’s the schedule in order.

Oh to add to this they picked up 2 LSU offensive lineman who will be starters who were HORRIBLE at LSU so to have a good run game you have to block and they can’t. Also LSU picked up ole miss best defensive end and linebacker form ole miss which only mad LSU better.
