It’s obvious he isn’t fully developed. While Texas isn’t what it was last year, there’s still clear problems with Arch himself, like how he struggles to maintain composure in the pocket and indecisiveness on when decides to throw or run. These things can be worked on however, and I anticipate that he will overcome these challenges while at college. The media and public only saw a third year manning, and thought he’d be playing like his uncles, not the redshirt sophomore who had only played two

starts and a couple of important snaps, so he was being overhyped from the beginning. Texas fans will eat up tho cause that’s just how we are. And now that it’s up in the air if we’re in the playoffs or not this season, we’re literally back to Ewers v manning arguments again

I think they have their individual strengths and weaknesses. Ewers was great at getting the ball out especially in those short-intermediate throws but he had TERRIBLE pocket presence. Manning is more tanky but his fundamentals are still pretty off which just messes him up completely.

I agree with you on that, but what infuriates me is that one of them isn’t coming back. The argument is purely just to put Arch down, it serves no purpose outside of that. The fact the media and fanbase are discussing it like it’s an active qb battle really shows how little faith they have in our team if they don’t go 16-0 and win the natty and the hiesman

There should have been a proper qb battle between kj arch trey and Caldwell but the hype was too much
