The problem with the pre season poll is it’s correct unless you prove it wrong. LSU beat #4 Clemson and was a ranked #4. LSU needed 5 INTs to beat Florida at home and was impressive 23-7 vs LA tech. Ole Miss beat bottom dwellers in the sec all by one score: Kentucky, Arkansas, LSU. #13 ole Miss beat #4 lsu, so ole Miss is now automatically ranked #4 lol. None of these are top 5 teams, yet if you beat them you are automatically top 5 wtf.

No, we were unproven and nobody knew how FSU would end up. I saw that we were receiving votes to end up 32nd in the Coaches’ poll, and I think that was accurate

They started off the year 0-2 and have since played teams that have a combined 0 power 4 wins** Still they are somehow back at 16. Just be happy they’re ranked where they are but don’t try to defend it, it’s fucking insane.

They need to go back to lsu and say Clemson is a community college, we are not moving you from 9 to 3 for beating them. Likewise, ole miss, beating Kentucky and Arkansas by one score (neither team will win a game in the sec) and beating LSU who won’t be ranked by season end shouldn’t move you from #21 to #3.

Teams like Vanderbilt, BYU, South Florida all have objectively better résumés. They just don’t have an ND on the side of their helmets. If south Florida had the same record against the same teams as ND they wouldn’t be top 50😭😭 if ND had south Florida’s resume they would be in the top 8
