First of all do you seriously think any of those teams athletically could replace lsu, the closest one would possibly be fsu, who only has 1 national championship in a major sport since 2000. None of the programs you listed bring in any athletic revenue near what Louisiana State University brings in. Not to mention the 4 teams you listed all have a buyout over 145 million each to leave their conferences. I’m not even a sec football fan and I know your argument is idiotic
LSU has *checks notes* only two national championships in a revenue generating sport since 2000. They also brought in $223 million in atheistic revenue last year. FSU brought in $211 million alone. FSU plus one of the other schools surpasses what LSU brings to the table. LSU needs the SEC more than the SEC needs LSU because without the SEC, LSU loses a ton of media revenue and a competitive edge against other power schools.
Where did you get only two. Lsu has 3 national championships since 2000 in football alone, I really hope you are not trying to do this research yourself and are just this uninformed. If you want to talk about profitable sports Lsu has 4 baseball national championships since 2000, profiting in 3 of those seasons. I actually just found out lsu baseball historically has been one of the most profitable baseball programs in the country. Do any of the teams you listed do the same?
