Everyone is just hating on Missouri in general since the state supported slavery in the 1800s and attacked Kansas people, even though none of that is remotely relevant anymore due to how much time has passed since then. People are acting like it’s wrong to be a Mizzou fan on here because of slavery 150 years ago

Racist ass state on the wrong end of the slavery rivalry isn't gonna get many other fans turned to their side

People in Missouri don’t support slavery in 2026 tho, just like the other former slave states don’t

Acting like people in missouri and other slave states aren't still incredibly racist and don't hide their affinity for slavery behind "m-my heritage" is both incredibly funny and something you could only believe if you got the equivalent of a mizzou education

It is incredibly relevant, considering it’s the whole basis of the rivalry. There is no rivalry without bleeding kansas or slavery

Mizzou’s fanbase is definitely sympathetic to their pro-slavery history, considering they care to defend the legacy of this rivalry at all
