Truman & the tigers aren’t really a part of it. It’s really based in that when the games were first played, union veterans from Kansas would regularly fight confederate veterans from Missouri. The game became a backdrop of the lingering tension of the civil war/bleeding kansas

Yeah, and it’s not really relevant to what I’m talking about. Every fanbase has a few assholes in it, that doesn’t mean everybody who supports the team is one too.

I don’t know if you understand, but that is what the ENTIRE rivalry is based on. Like literally nothing else besides that. If those fans aren’t there fighting, this rivalry is not a thing and then these fanbases do not care about each other at all. It’s literally impossible to separate the 2

lol no, the rivalry is based on the history between both teams. The connection to Bleeding Kansas was added much later on
