Up until a few years ago it was unthinkable for a 5-0 P4 team to be left out of the top 25. Now SEC teams can regularly shit the bed against each other and face literally zero consequences in rankings because they all start the season off over-ranked as hell. The current polling and selection committee seems to exist primarily to guarantee that 7-8 SEC teams make the CFP. Just a total farce from top to bottom
