i dont think players opting out is copium. thats like saying the 29 players that opted out of the orange bowl in 2023 didn't make a difference. key players are key players for a reason.

i very obviously do. the counterclaim is that most of these teams had tons of players opt out. you can't say a team is bad because they lost a close bowl game where they were missing half of their key players

That isn’t a point. That’s just you trying to make an excuse. To hear SEC fans talk, every SEC player is basically an NFL all-pro. You don’t get to walk it back when you face the undeniable reality that the SEC is no better than any other conference.
