it literally doesn’t. Every ranking should be done as if the season is over while your ranking. Trajectory/ Projection should mean nothing.

But trajectory always has. Finishing out a season will always be weighted as more important than starting out super strong and then down the stretch fizzling out. Look at Oklahoma last year or Ohio State’s 2014 run. Just because you say “nuh uh” doesn’t make it so.
