“For a conference that hasn’t appeared in the last 2 championships” is the shittiest defense actually ever, bc since 2000 the SEC has 16 natties and the big 10 has 5 Football wasn’t invented yesterday
College gameday shoving more sec slop into our throats. For a conference that hasn’t appeared in the last 2 championship games they get a lot of media attention.

How many of those 16 natties were from Nick Saban?

You counted wrong Saban has 8. Half of the entire conference nattys were from one coach. It’s not that the conference as a whole has consistently been dominant it’s that Saban was dominant and inflated the numbers. Other than that let’s see Meyer got 2 wins as did Smart I’ll give you those but Florida and Georgia haven’t done much since. And then Auburn and 2019 LSU were lightening in a bottle years. Like I said inflated numbers by one guy. Says more about the coach than the conference.

Yep most of them just ride off of Saban’s success in their arguments

Where did you get the number 8 from? I did check again and actually he won 6 at Alabama and one at LSU

You can make the EXACT same arguments for a lot of the big 10 wins even if you took Saban out of the equation entirely, which ofc you can’t, because then you are just making exceptions to fit your ideas If you look at the conference as a whole the SEC has triple the titles the big 10 has. That doesn’t even mean that “the SEC is so much better of a conference” and all that I’m literally pointing that out bc it’s such a stupid ass argument to act like the SEC is somehow ass bc they havnt been in-

Georgia’s had 2 in the past 20 years, Alabama’s had 6 in the past 20 years, LSU’s had 2 in the past 20 years, Auburn’s had 1, Florida’s had 2. So there’s been what like 4 or 5 national championship teams outside of the SEC in the past 20 years.

It’s literally just 1 for Texas, 1 for FSU, 2 for Ohio state, 2 for Clemson, and 1 for Michigan. You can’t say that oh well actually the numbers are inflated and these were just chance champions for SEC teams and then claim that the wins that other conferences have had actually indicate that the big 10 is the best. Doesn’t work like that
