Florida state would have made the playoffs in 2023 if georgia had won the SEC. They would have played Georgia in the sugar bowl while Michigan and Washington played in the rose bowl. How do y’all think things would have played out if that happened?

A much closer game. FSU didn’t have nearly as deep a roster as Georgia had, which is why the opt-outs killed them in the Orange Bowl that year. Georgia probably still wins, but it wouldn’t be the disembowelment that FSU got in reality (24-34 if I had to guess the score) This post also reminded me that Cincinnati went undefeated in the American and was let into the playoffs, while FSU went undefeated in the ACC and was rejected due to their SOS and an injured QB

i think Michigan takes it alabama beat georgia and genuinely outplayed them, and they played Michigan so close it went to OT

I think Georgia does the same thing to FSU that Michigan did to Iowa because I think FSU would have no offense at that time

Well obviously Georgia would have beaten the breaks off of Florida state but how to to think the other two games would go for final 4 team play off?

As for the other two games? Michigan probably still wins against Washington, so the big question is 23 Michigan or 23 Georgia better. I’d say Michigan takes it, as Georgia proved to be pretty beatable that year against higher skilled teams, and a Michigan that beat a Nick Saban Alabama in our reality probably takes care of business against Georgia
