from an actual football standpoint, absolutely. he's a bad coach who brings in attention but that doesn't translate to wins unless it's against horrendous competition. lanning got criticized for saying it but "they're playing for clicks we're playing for wins" was a good way of describing teams going up against deion's colorado

from a financial standpoint, probably not. the guy has brought a lot of buzz to a formerly forgotten program and that lines the university's pockets more immediately than trying to win would. interesting to see if it remains that way since he lost his bug name players and it's been months since deion beat a p4 program tho
