Percentage of teams that make the playoffs in each league.
I’m very willing to have my mind changed, but please just tell me why this is awful for the sport. It seems fun to me but again I’m willing to be convinced that I’m wrong
I don’t see a problem with it because the new teams added probably would’ve been in meaningless bowl games instead so now they’ll actually have something to play for instead of sitting out

You’re comparing CFB to professional leagues, so at a high level this looks ideal…but in reality the skill drop off from the #1 to #24 in pro leagues is vastly less extreme than it is in CFB

Because unlike basketball that plays several games throughout the week, this shit will drag on forever! The championship games was in January last year and nobody cared except for the Indiana and Miami fans.

Would it not just add one more round? That would make it a week longer

Idk. I think playing into January is too late. Now we’re talking mid-January? The first rounds were terrible, and I honestly lost interest. I can’t imagine adding another mind-numbing round of subpar football.

I don’t think another week is that significant and they could just cut some of the bye weeks out
