I just wanna code for companies i dont wanna learn physics or learn how to build a fully functioning network. Im a few hw assignments away from failing outta my university and idk what to do

Brother you need these classes to be well rounded. You might be inspired by physics or networking to make interesting code patterns later. Build the connections between disciplines now and it will make you happier, more interesting, and more marketable.

The answer is “your homework”. CS is hard don’t get me wrong, but it’s all training for problem solving. Comp sci is about teaching you how to solve problems you’ve never seen before. But to have a wide base to be able to apply problem solving from, you need to know how to look at problems, manipulate them mathematically and stand them on their heads, that’s where the math and physics come in, not because you’re gonna be doing the programing calculations of load bearing ratios under zero g.

Its prob super helpful for everyone else but i like front end dev i dont enjoy backend so i like the design classes more than the database classes
