I have neutered AI startup fatigue. All these startups are the all exact same as talking to a regular ai EXCEPT this AI helps you in one specific thing and nothing. Like, 😊This startup lets you take a picture of your food and ai then count calories in it!

Like, I CAN DO THAT FOR FREE ALREADY ON ANY MAJOR AI COMPANY?? This is literally like giving someone a scientific calculator, then that person removes all the buttons except addition and subtraction and numbers and they go “Check out this thing that can add and subtract numbers and costs the same as a scientific calculator!!” These businesses that neuter ai to just do 1 specific thing only survive due to marketing and nothing else. They don’t actually have any real value to provide that real LLM

I worked at one this Summer and I got it like 10x, because under the hood its even more of that. Just prompting prompts and prompting prompts to test the said prompts etc etc its all bs

I would kinda argue differently if they are fine tuning or using RAG
