I saw something where a lady ended up working with tech CEO’s and doing presentations and research at the same places with them. One of them being Bill Gates. She was terrified for months before and then when she was there with them for a few days she said she realized they are just normal people. Not super exquisite, not super different, just regular ole people where the only difference in them and other people is they just spent a little more of their free time making something. Scary to think about who you will be around and how they’re like superhuman but in reality once you get there you typically become comfortable relatively quickly. You also realize these are just people who show up to work to make some money and go home and chill and play video games or watch tv and have their own life.
