You’re gonna have a hard time finding a job, but the way I always described it was this. Bi-annually, means simultaneously twice a year and every other year. It’s up to the determination of the programmer to know which implementation is necessary. There will always be a need for a programmer to be familiar with the context of the requested operation, cuz when somebody says do this complex thing they don’t understand why a complex problem arises. Troubleshooting will always exist.

Economies are unpredictable. I’m a senior and entered cs in 2022. Everyone was getting hired left and right. An internship was basically so guaranteed that it was a requirement for graduation. Now markets are tough for cs. There is no way to tell what will happen 4 years later in 2030. Maybe the decrease in cs students will decrease supply and increase wages. Or maybe we will all be wiped out by ai. Who knows?
