What stable tech companies are known for work life balance? Doesn’t have to be the most competitive TC. I’m just too emotionally and mentally drained at my current role. The culture is toxic and I’m overworked.

Unfortunately that’s a hard thing to find in my experience. There’s not much incentive for tech companies to value work life balance bc 1. There’s not much regulation in the us, 2. The market is full of developers/engineers who can replace a position at any time, 3. There aren’t really any big unions in the tech industry. I know some folks who work in tech in the EU though and it seems pretty nice over there

I mean I can’t answer that question but there for sure are some folks working in tech in the US that aren’t miserable, it’s just kinda hard to find that: a combination of luck, self-advocacy, negotiation, and maybe a bit of collective action
