Any recommendations on how to become a QA automation engineer? What kind of projects should I make to show my skills in that specific area?

hi, I’m an automation engineer! Started as an intern and now working full time :) I would say learning how to use some sort of testing software is a great place to start (eg. I use Pytest + Playwright). Not sure about projects, but practicing being able to locate/click/interact with web pages would be good. Knowing the basics of manual testing could also help you stand out, even when working on automation. Clear/concise writing is also a good skill for reporting bugs. Not sure if that helps 😅

It does! Thank you so much for the tips and info. I’m hoping to find a job in it right out of college but I haven’t been able to get an internship. Crossing my fingers someone will hire me this year lol
