My take is that cs is not dying. It looks that way cause ALOT of people suck ass at code and have no projects to show.

I think partially the problem is the schools doesn’t really imply that you need to do things to get a job. As someone who goes to a top cs school, the administration just pretends offers drop on your plate without you lifting a finger. Although it’s easier for me (purely off of name), you do actually need to do shit and know how to present it no matter where you are. It’s entirely possible people that are good aren’t presenting things correctly, and need some guidance

Defense contractors are hiring a lot of cs majors nowadays so I feel like people also just keep looking at the big tech jobs instead of other jobs
