Need an another job that pays at least 90k bc this 70k job is not cutting it. Im in a cycle living paycheck to paycheck. Paying off debt but then more debt piles up from things I need. A month i spend: 300 gas, 500 food, 146 inter/phone, 247 gym, 200 fun.

I assume your not alone and your supporting someone based on the number of gym accounts but try to meal prep if you can could help lowering your food costs since 500 seems like a lot if it is just one person. Roll that plus cutting some gym costs into the debts

What debt do you have? Also I’d get rid of the gym memberships. If you can’t afford them just have one membership. Also do you have decent gas mileage? $300 on gas seems like a lot. Unless gas is just expensive where you live?

247 on gym bc it’s 4 accounts. 2 accounts at one gym. 55+44 and 2 accounts at a different gym. 84+64

Dude, 70k should be perfectly fine if you learn to manage your money more efficiently. Also it depends on where you’re living. I’m in Wisconsin and one of my friends makes 60k and he’s doing just fine

Credit cards when I was trying to survive for almost a year trying to find a job after graduation and 5k of student loans. The thing is the two memberships are for my dad and sister. My dad is old so I don’t want to cut his. The other more expensive ones are mine and my gfs. It has a pool and not a place within a 10 mile range that has one. I drive a Honda civic 2018. I drive 94 miles(47 one way) weekdays. So full tanks gets me 5 days. Gas is anywhere from 4.20-5.40 around here.

That is what I do lol. I do meal prep. Food for the week usually costs 100. About 3-4 times a week I eat out for lunch like Erik’s deli or in n out. I do live with someone, my gf. But she doesn’t really eat as much as I do. I’m pretty active and workout a lot so I tend to get hungry.

Okay yeah it’s definitely not the job. You need to either find something closer or move closer to your job. Also why are you paying for you sister and dad to go the gym. If you’re struggling tell them you can’t pay for it. If you and your gf membership is actually too much you might have to live without the pool. Can’t have nice things if it’s going to make you struggle. Also damn gas is like $3 where I’m at so maybe you need to move if cutting things and the other stuff i suggested doesn’t work

Closer? To Silicon Valley? Where rent is like +500 to +2500 more than what I pay for my apartment? No way not with this salary. Bc my dad isn’t young like a lot of ppls parents that are like 40-60 years old. They’re in their 70s so ya I want that man to exercise to keep him around as much as possible. But you got a point gotta tell my lil sis to pay up. Yeah might have to give up my membership but definitely keeping my dads I rather be without internet than give that up. $3?!

But yeah the gym membership is expensive. Usually used to 30-45 dollar memberships. But damn I love that pool and that steam room.

I live in an expensive area. In California around the area of Silicon Valley. Some dude just said their gas is 3 bucks. We haven’t seen that price since like 2012.

Okay I saw some of the other context and being in Cali the prices make more sense. I will say it’s kind of a numbers thing that you’d have to sacrifice something to make more breathing room. I understand keeping your dads gym but that would mean to make cuts it might have to come at either you, your gf, or sis membership and reducing the deli and in n out to making sandwiches/meals that can be packed for lunch. At least based on the info given this is the best cuts I can think.

I am just a talking head on yikyak though, ideally you get the job you want and some reasonable spending you can make it work. Otherwise use actions you can take now to better your chances. If the job comes your way you can adjust your life if it seems worth you to.
